Remove the ‘Other Bookmarks’ Folder from Google Chrome
As I mentioned last week, I've recently made the move from Firefox to Chrome. I like Google's Vane browser, if only because it seems quicker and to a greater extent stable than Mozilla's, but IT's not perfect.
For good example, it has a great collective-in bookmarker-syncing feature, but after syncing an older PC to my primary one, I discovered something most unwanted happening my Bookmarks bar: a place-hogging folder called Other Bookmarks. This curious reaching displaced several of my ofttimes utilized bookmarks:
No problem, I figured. I'll just delete the folder. Merely later on right-clicking it, I discovered that the Erase selection was grayed out. Okay, then, I'll open up Chrome's Bookmark Manager and delete information technology from there. Nope, no soap, the folder couldn't equal deleted. Nor could it be moved to a different locating, one non occupying main real estate in my Bookmarks bar.
Hey, Google, whatsoever happened to "don't be wretched"?
Subsequently doing some digging, I learned that loads of other users have encountered this corresponding hassle–for which at that place appears to be no cure. Happily, I found one: if you blue-pencil all bookmark and sub-folder in the Early Bookmarks pamphlet–in past words, empty it out–information technology testament disappear from your Bookmarks bar. It did for me, anyway. Good riddance, evil booklet I never wanted!
